Peter Widdis

Peter Widdis is Director, Client Services & Strategy at LAUNCH!, the consumer-branding division of CIM. He is also a Graduate Professor at Toronto’s George Brown College. At LAUNCH!, Peter and his diverse team of astronauts develop integrated marketing connections for dynamic partners like PepsiCo, Microsoft, Paramount Home Entertainment, Alberto Culver and RIM. Recent programs include the Global Ex-Award Winning Aquafina Plus+ Wellness Tour, Xbox's Grand Theft Auto IV Midnight Madness street theatre and Alberto European's Vive la Hair experiential promotion.
A hybrid marketeer, prior to joining LAUNCH!, Peter spent almost nine years working in senior leadership roles in brand management, product development and creative innovation on the client side at Marc Anthony Cosmetics, Campbell Company of Canada and Cadbury Adams. While at Marc Anthony, he created Experience the Remarcable ad campaign for the US market and introduced Pro Sproose, the first all-in-one hairspray + mousse. During Peter’s tenure at Campbell’s, he led the Global SIAL d'OR and Canadian Grand Prix Award Winning launch of Campbell’s Soup at Hand product and M’m! M’m! Good! TO-GO innovation platform. At Cadbury, Peter’s enthusiastic commitment to unlocking innovation drove initiatives like Crunchie.com AdverGame and the Mr. Big Vince Carter Cause Marketing communication platform which featured a Limited Edition Mr. Big Double Dunk candy bar.
Peter began his career journey on the agency side in both creative copy writing and account strategy roles at Saatchi & Saatchi, Grey Advertising and the GEM Group / Lang & Associates working with clients like P&G, Mars Canada and Nike. His passion for unleashing creativity in branding and business leadership goes beyond the corporate realm. Peter enjoys public speaking, is a published writer, and on the advisory board of the International Experiential Marketing Association (IXMA) and StrategicVision Canada.
Peter holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Roberts Wesleyan, Rochester New York and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sport & Event Marketing from Toronto's George Brown College.
