Circuits of Cool: A Global Youth Study

June 10, 2008 - 9:35 AM to 10:15 AM -

The power of the youth market is stronger than ever. With the rise of MySpace, Facebook and Windows Live Spaces, social networking is now an embedded lifestyle component for teens and tweens. For marketers, this represents a huge opportunity to leverage new technologies to reinforce their brand and engage the youth market.

In this presentation, Caroline will share findings of the largest-ever global study, undertaken by MTV and Nickelodeon, in association with Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions that examines how young people interact with digital technology. She’ll also cite other Microsoft studies into youth and emerging behaviour. The presentation will identify specific trends for Canadian youth and their interaction with media and technology. Caroline will also highlight recent Canadian online adverting, social networking and youth engagement statistics and case studies.

Delegates will learn how young people engage with digital technologies. The findings will explain emerging behaviours, changing attitudes--and even just what is staying the same!
